It is widely acknowledged that India and China are on path to become global production houses. However, reality is that China has already pocketed the coveted tag of “the world’s factory”. Supply from China is often riddled with problems like quality issues, delays in supply, frequent policy changes. These problems are where a golden opportunity lies for Indian manufacturers. By being quality conscious and providing a trustable supply, India is bound to steer a lot of demand away from China. In this endeavor it is important to keep in mind low pricing policy should not be at the cost of quality.
